If your agency currently offers web design, development, or other marketing services, then you are in luck. When you are ready to launch your new SEO services offering, you already have an existing customer base. This already warm audience will jumpstart your sales.
There are multiple ways you can introduce your SEO services to current customers.
This Post is Part of a Series about Marketing SEO Services:
1. Via a Quarterly Check-in Call
Reach out to your existing customer base to offer your time for a quarterly check-in to see how business is going. Use this call as a springboard to introduce them, when applicable, to your SEO services offering.
During the call, you can ask questions such as:
- What’s your biggest challenge right now?
- Are you receiving enough leads from your website to meet your goals this year?
- Do you know how your website is performing?
- Have you invested in SEO in the past? If so, how did it go? If not, why not?
- Is there anything we can help you with?
- Have there been any notable changes in your target audience or customer demographics since we last spoke?
- Are there any new products, services, or promotions that you would like to highlight?
This style of question is likely to elicit a response regarding the need for more leads and sales which is the perfect segway to introduce your SEO services offering.
Introducing this existing client base to your agency’s new SEO services requires minimal strategizing.
2. Via an Email Announcement
You can pitch your SEO services to all of your existing and past clients via an email announcement. Here’s a template to help you get started.
Subject: Now Offering, SEO Services
[Name],
First, I want to thank you for being a [service type] customer for the past [time period]. We appreciate your business and intend to be consistently helpful, serving your needs in any way that we can.
I’m writing to you today because of that intention.
If you’re like many of our customers, you’re facing these challenges right now:
- You need more business
- Meaning you need more leads
- Meaning you need more traffic
Businesses frequently hear that they need a website in order to drive online sales. But truthfully, a website alone won’t generate online business (or even leads). You need a website that can catch traffic.
Catch traffic? Yes; it’s like catching fish. Put your net in the wrong part of the lake or sea, and you’ll get nothing. Put your website out there without a way for Google to find it, and you’ll get little to no traffic.
We have started helping customers with their SEO so they can catch traffic. It’s a way to maximize an asset in which you’ve already invested (your website) rather than spending even more to drive traffic via paid ads.
Our team already knows your audience. We know your website. We know your goals. Now, we’re ready to grow your traffic and accelerate reaching those goals by building your site's long-term capital in SEO.
Interested? Let’s jump on a call to discuss this in more detail. Here’s a link to my calendar. Alternatively, you can hit reply to this email with a date and time that works for you.
Best,
[Your Name]
Your Current Customers are Your Best Set of Leads
Launching a new service is hard work. You are already busy. If you have an existing set of customers from past web design, development, or other marketing projects, then you are a step ahead. You have leads.
Many businesses today are looking for a one-stop-shop — the opportunity to work with one agency to meet multiple needs. By offering SEO services alongside web design and development, you solve two core problems for a customer … having a great website + the traffic to support lead generation.
